Rana Sanaullah reveals Imran Khan’s only chance for relief
Rana Sanaullah, Imran Khan
LAHORE: (Suno News) Prime Minister's Advisor on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah stated that speaking against an opponent in jail feels inappropriate, while referring to former prime minister Imran Khan.

Rana Sanaullah attributed the £190 million case to the mistakes of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan. He revealed that the £190 million case involved misuse of authority by Imran Khan, with cabinet approval taken secretly and funds directed to a business tycoon who donated land and money to the Al-Qadir Trust.

The advisor criticized the PTI founder for defaming opponents and noted that his only chance for relief lies on technical grounds, as otherwise, he would need to complete his sentence. He highlighted irregularities in the handling of the £190 million funds and pointed out evidence supporting their transfer to the national treasury.

The advisor stated that PTI wants a judicial commission to investigate the events leading to Imran Khan’s arrest and the November 26 D-Chowk incident but questioned the judiciary’s role as an investigative authority.

Emphasizing dialogue, Rana Sanaullah stressed the importance of ongoing government-opposition talks for democracy and criticized PTI for its inconsistent approach to negotiations, hinting at possible delays in further discussions.

Addressing Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) grievances, the advisor mentioned their dissatisfaction with Punjab governance but dismissed claims about a power-sharing formula. He also affirmed Nawaz Sharif’s continued influence in decision-making and praised Maulana Fazlur Rahman’s pragmatic political approach, despite his reservations about the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) government.
