After attending the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), premier departed for Geneva to check on the health of ex-PM Nawaz Sharif and apprise him of the major developments of his visit to the US. From Geneva, Shehbaz Sharif will proceed to London today (Saturday), where he will spend three days.

As he spoke to the UNGA in New York, the prime minister began his address with a verse of the Holy Quran and praised UN Secretary-General António Guterres for leading the organization through what he called "extremely difficult times."
