The petition has been filed by a businessman namely Jalalud Din through Advocate Afroz Ahmad.

The petition mentions various grounds against the respondents. The petition reads the KP government was elected to ensure peace, welfare and to make policies for the betterment of the people of KP. However, the petition says, the KP government completely neglected its job for which they were elected. Instead, they are only focusing on protest and marches towards the Federal Capital of Islamabad, it notes.

The petition maintains that all the state resources like Rescue 1122, fire brigades, heavy machinery and government staff were being used for the purpose.

In previous protest, many govt officials were arrested while fire brigades, ambulances and other machinery were confiscated by the local administration of Punjab/Islamabad, the petition says.

Recently in Karkhano Market, a local pamper factory got fire and due to insufficient machinery, factory got destroyed, it reads.

Once again, the KP government has announced a protest and march towards Islamabad on November 24, it says.

The petition pleaded before the court that the KP government has no right to use public property in protests. CM KP is using public assets, blocking roads and putting people lives to risk, it adds.

The petition has humbly prayed that the petition be accepted and the announcement of protest call on 24-11-24 be declared as illegal, unconstitutional and against the fundamental rights of the public.
