National Assembly introduces new social media rules for members
(Web Desk): The National Assembly has implemented a new social media policy that restricts how Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) can access and share media content related to House sessions.

This move aims to enhance the presentation and organization of parliamentary proceedings.

According to a notice issued by the National Assembly Secretariat, MNAs will no longer be able to obtain videos and photos from the Media Wing. Instead, they will have to access official visuals exclusively through the Assembly’s official social media platforms.

As per the notice, coverage of House proceedings by individual MNAs is prohibited. Only selected photos and videos of the proceedings will be shared through the National Assembly’s official Facebook page.

Officials stated that the decision was taken to preserve the dignity and order of parliamentary sessions, while providing a standardized and consistent representation of the House’s activities in the public domain.
