
According to PTI sources, the arrests took place at Dahgal checkpoint, close to Adiala Jail, where Aleema and Noreen were staging a sit-in with PTI’s Secretary General Salman Akram Raja and other lawyers.
The police took them toward Chakri Interchange after the detention.Aleema Khan stated, “We won’t leave until we meet our brother. We came to see Imran Khan, but they stopped us 2 kilometers from the jail and aren’t letting us proceed.” Their determination highlights the ongoing struggle for access to the PTI founder.
In a related development, Lahore’s Anti-Terrorism Court issued arrest warrants for PTI leaders Alia Hamza and Sanam Javed, ordering their imprisonment.
Yesterday, the same court sentenced Sanam Javed and Alia Hamza to 5 years each, while Yasmin Rashid, Mahmood ur Rasheed, Umar Sarfraz Cheema, and Ejaz Chaudhry received 10-year sentences.
