In the petition, Khan’s legal team argued that despite court orders, Imran Khan has not been provided with better facilities, or "B-class" facilities, in the prison. This, they say, violates the principles of justice, equality, and basic rights.
The petitioner has requested the court to appoint a gazetted officer to ensure compliance with the court’s order. The officer would be tasked with conducting weekly inspections of the facilities provided in the jail and submitting reports to the court.
The petition further asks the court to issue any appropriate orders that would improve the situation and ensure the provision of justice.
It is important to note that PTI founder and chairman Imran Khan is currently serving multiple sentences in Adiala Jail. His legal team has repeatedly stated that the facilities being provided to him do not comply with the directives issued by the court.
On the other hand, legal experts say that a hearing on the petition is expected in the coming days, during which significant developments may unfold.

The situation surrounding Imran Khan s petition reflects growing concerns about the legal and humanitarian conditions of political figures in custody. Despite the Islamabad High Court’s previous instructions, the lack of better facilities for Khan in Adiala Jail points to potential flaws in the implementation of judicial orders. Legal experts anticipate that the court s hearing may bring important developments, which could either resolve the issue or escalate it further, depending on the court s action. The case highlights broader issues related to the treatment of prisoners and the enforcement of court rulings in Pakistan s judicial system.
