LAHORE: (Web Desk) Kasim Khan, son of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, has come forward to campaign for his father who plans to run for the chancellor of Oxford University.

Kasim Khan campaigns for his father at a time when Oxford University is facing fierce protests over the PTI founder’s plan to run for the chancellor of the university.

According to the British newspaper Daily Mail, Oxford University is receiving angry emails and petitions against Imran Khan’s nomination, in which Imran Khan is being declared as the most unfit candidate to contest the chancellorship of the university.

Meanwhile, a recent Instagram story of Kasim Khan made rounds on social media in which he has strongly supported his father’s nomination for the chancellorship election. “Abba for chancellor – make it happen!” he wrote in his Instagram story.

He also shared a link to the news of the British news magazine The Week, which contains details about the nomination of Imran Khan in the election of the chancellor of Oxford University.

It should be noted that Oxford University will announce the candidates for the position of chancellor in October. Elections for the post of chancellor will be held on October 28. As many as 250,000 former students and staff will vote online in the elections. The tenure of the new chancellor will be 10 years.

It is to be noted here that Imran Khan, imprisoned in Adiala Jail, submitted an application to contest the election for the chancellor of Oxford University. PTI leader Zulfi Bukhari confirmed Imran Khan’s plan to contest the election in an X post.
