ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan has successfully repatriated 792 citizens from Iran amid rising regional tensions. The Taftan and Zahedan border crossings remain fully operational for returning citizens.

Among those repatriated, 46 are students who were pursuing medical studies in Tehran, Isfahan, Zanjan, and Yazd Medical Colleges. The government confirmed that Iran is issuing visas at the border for those traveling without one.

Ishaq Dar, who has also served as foreign minister, emphasized that the government is making every effort to ensure the safe return of all Pakistani citizens. “We were prepared for mediation between the United States and Iran; still, we are trying to resolve the issue,” he added.

The Pakistani government, in coordination with the Pakistan Army, continues to oversee efforts to bring citizens home amid the evolving situation in Iran.
