The Sindh Population Welfare Department has launched a new online family planning app to provide free, confidential guidance on reproductive health and contraceptive options. The digital tool aims to help couples who avoid visiting family planning centres due to privacy concerns or social stigma.
Through the app, users can receive personalised advice, consult qualified healthcare professionals, and learn about modern contraceptive methods. It also offers support in case of complications, ensuring complete reproductive health assistance in one platform.
Sindh Population Welfare Secretary Hafeezullah Abbasi said the initiative was developed with backing from the World Bank and Pathfinder, and approved by Health Minister Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho. Currently, the app is undergoing a six-month trial phase before its full public launch.
Abbasi assured that strict privacy protocols will protect user data and medical records. The app will also contribute to building an electronic data system to enhance the monitoring of family planning programs across Sindh.

“Married couples can now get guidance from home, avoiding unnecessary visits to centres,” Abbasi noted. The app also helps users locate nearby clinics, view service hours, and access doctor details.
It features detailed information on both short-term and long-term contraceptive methods, FAQs, and a helpline number. Designed for accessibility, the app can function offline—making it a vital tool for users in remote or low-connectivity areas.
