(Web Desk): Abdul Qadir Gilani, son of former Pakistani Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, was robbed of an expensive wrist watch during his visit to Spain’s coastal city of Barcelona.

According to reports, unidentified thieves snatched the luxury timepiece, valued at around €56,000 (approximately PKR 18.5 million), from Gilani while he was sightseeing in the city.

Abdul Qadir Gilani was in Barcelona for leisure and tourism when the incident took place. Local authorities have reportedly been informed of the robbery, but no further details about the suspects have been released.

Talking to media persons, Abdul Qadir stated that he had bought the watch about 14 years ago. “I bought that watch about 14 years ago, when gold was comparatively cheap. As Islam teaches that when we travel, we should carry some gold so that we can sell it in difficult situations, I carried this gold watch,” he added.
