
As per the Environment Protection and Climate Change Department’s official announcement
The public was informed via the department’s official Facebook page that the ETS will be fully functional on July 8, 2025.

It is advised that motorists do not visit ETS booths from July 4 to July 7 and plan their trips accordingly.
In the free vehicle emission testing campaign, heavy vehicles will now be included as per the department’s recent decision.
Heavy vehicles that do not have a valid Vehicle Inspection and Certification System will be tested by EPA squads. A one-week period will be given to the vehicles that do not have the necessary documents in which they can acquire the required documents.
