
Sukkur Airport is set to undergo a complete renovation to serve as a regional hub for the northern belt of Sindh.
Land acquisition has already begun for the new Dera Ismail Khan airport, while the feasibility study for the Mirpur airport is nearly complete.
The project is expected to address long-standing connectivity issues in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and nearby areas.

Authorities have instructed the resumption of commercial flight operations in Hyderabad. Additionally, aviation training centers will be established to promote skill development and sector growth.
The PAA has briefed the National Assembly on the reconstruction of Sukkur Airport, aiming to transform it into a key facility for the region.
These initiatives are part of a broader plan to expand and upgrade Pakistan s aviation infrastructure, with international experts from Japan and Switzerland involved in the design and planning phases.
