Labor Secretary Rafiq Qureshi said the program features accident health cover of Rs. 700,000, besides issuing 10,000 e-motorcycles, sewing machines and other benefits to workers.
Calling it a "new and brighter chapter" in the life of the labour community, Qureshi also pointed out that Sindh is the first province to provide accident insurance of this magnitude, which would be usable at over 270 hospitals within the country.
He also added that 10,000 e-motorcycles would be distributed, with an allocation reserved for women and minorities workers. Sewing machines will also be given to women as part of larger initiatives to encourage economic empowerment.

The Welfare Card will also make it easier to access facilities like marriage and death benefits, saving workers from long queues and bureaucratic delays.
Qureshi vowed not to tolerate labour exploitation and said action would be taken against industries that were not registering their workers. He appealed to the workers to keep themselves well-informed about their rights and see to it that they are included in the welfare system.
