
According to a spokesperson for the district administration, the new service will operate on seven designated routes and is expected to be formally inaugurated soon by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. Bus depots have already been established at Ghulam Muhammad Abad, Sargodha Road, and Gattwala Road to ensure smooth operations.
The launch of electric buses is just the start of a revolutionary change in Faisalabad s public transport, the official added. In addition to improving travel convenience, the project is likely to cut fuel expenditure and encourage green mobility.

Aimed to facilitate traffic ease and urban mobility, the electric bus system will offer efficient commuting solutions for students, white-collar workers, and daily passengers. The officials mentioned that the program would not only enhance transport quality but also be a key factor in addressing increasing air pollution in the industrial city.
Describing the project as a milestone in Faisalabad, the spokesperson stressed that the buses would provide quick, comfortable, and affordable travel, serving as an example for launching similar green transport networks in Punjab.
