
Shab-e-Meraj is also known as the Night of Ascension. It is an important event in Islamic history. The Muslims observe it every year on the 27th night of the Islamic month of Rajab.
Religious gatherings, special prayers, and recitation of Holy Quran were held in mosques and at homes to seek the blessings of the Almighty. The religious scholars highlighted the incident of Meraj and its importance in Islamic history.
The believers offered special prayers for the unity of Muslim Ummah and prosperity of Pakistanis.
The clerics in their sermon also highlighted teachings and various aspects of the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
On the 27th of Rajab, the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) was honoured with Meraj when Hazrat Jibrael (AS) visited him. The Prophet (PBUH) then traveled to meet the Almighty on the Buraq. At the Aqsa Mosque, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) led the prayers of all the prophets.
