South Darakhshan District Police confirmed the arrest and said that a big network of narcotics was being probed.
It is interesting to note that Babra , who lived in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, gained popularity through modeling in 2007 and then became popular as a TikTok celebrity. Investigations have shown that Babra studied up to the intermediate level prior to joining the entertainment sector. The authorities said that Babra had many issues in her personal life. Her parents were divorced, and her mother got married in 2017. She was allegedly constantly having conflicts every day at her stepfather s place, after which she shifted to a flat in Muslim Commercial and pursued modeling along with developing her social media background, ultimately becoming quite popular on TikTok. She became addicted to drugs through private parties held in rich neighbourhoods where she was introduced to drugs like cocaine and crystal meth (also referred to as "ice"). Soon she started selling drugs through her acquaintances and such parties. The activities of social media creators will be tracked on online platforms and such private parties will have high-level surveillance, as accounted by the police authorities. Further arrests are expected as the investigation is still ongoing for Babra s group and acquaintances.
