(Web Desk): The Punjab government has unveiled a landmark project to build 57,000 low-cost, eco-friendly homes for low-income families, with easy installment ownership plans.

The Punjab government has unveiled an ambitious plan to build 57,000 affordable homes across the province for low-income families, aiming to make home ownership easier through simple installment schemes.

According to the Punjab Housing Department, this mega project will offer standardized, low-cost houses under strict government supervision to ensure transparency and quality. The initiative is expected to transform the housing landscape of Punjab and uplift thousands of deserving families.

Project Details and Development Plan

The housing scheme will be rolled out in phases, starting with Phase 1, which includes the construction of 20,000 homes across 41 sites in 24 districts.

 

The government has already approved the transfer of state-owned land to the Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency, paving the way for immediate construction work.

Officials emphasized that quality control will be enforced at every stage. Each home will come equipped with basic amenities, ensuring safe and comfortable living conditions for low-income families.
