Punjab govt decides to provide Ramazan Package to millions of families

LAHORE (Suno News): In a bid to provide relief to underprivileged, the Punjab government has made a principle decision to provide the "Nighban Ramazan Package" to millions of families.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has instructed that necessary measures be taken to ensure transparency in the package distribution.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired a meeting to review various proposals and recommendations regarding the Nighban Ramadan Package. Chief Minister was briefed on the registration for the package which is mandatory through the PSER, and applications can also be submitted online from home via the portal.

Registration can also be done at Union Council and Municipal offices, and a helpline (080002345) has been set up for assistance with the package. The deadline for registration is set for February 15.

While addressing the meeting, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz stated that the Nighban Ramadan Package is the right of the needy and the government s duty.

She emphasized that the public should receive their entitlement with dignity and respect, and that they should not have to stand in long queues. The administration and relevant authorities should perform their duties as a form of worship.
