
Launched in January 2025 by Punjab CM the Punjab E-Taxi Scheme is designed to support taxi drivers, unemployed youth, and transport service providers. The goal is to offer eco-friendly, electric taxis at affordable prices to help people earn and reduce air pollution.
In the first phase, 1,100 electric taxis will be handed out to eligible applicants in major cities including Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, and Rawalpindi.

How to Apply Online for the E-Taxi Scheme
The online application process is simple and quick:
· Visit the official website
· Fill in your details: name, CNIC, address, phone number, and driver’s license info.
· Upload the required documents:
· CNIC copy
· Valid driving license
· Proof of residence (e.g. electricity or gas bill)
· Four recent passport-sized photos
· Double-check all the information
· Submit the form
· You’ll receive an SMS or email confirmation with the next steps
Eligibility Criteria
The scheme has been designed to be inclusive and supportive of underrepresented groups. To apply for the CM Punjab E-Taxi Scheme, you must:
· Be a resident of Punjab
· Be between the ages of 21 to 55
· Hold a valid driving license
· Not currently be a defaulter with any bank
· Preferably be unemployed or earning less than minimum wage
Financial Details for Punjab E-Taxi Scheme
· Buyers will be allowed to select their vehicles from an approved list of cars.
· The government will provide financing up to Rs. 6.5 million and tax reductions.
· Buyers will be responsible for any excess cost.
· To assure timely payments and compliance with the policies, a government authority will monitor regularly.
· The financial package from the government includes equity payment assistance, a bank-financed five-year loan, and partial coverage of vehicle registration charges.
· There is no interest on the monthly installments for the received vehicles.
· These installment amounts will be automatically deducted from the earned amount with these rides using a digital device.
Available models include:
· Honri VC20 – 200 km per charge, 6–7 hour charging, Mango Yellow scheme color, priced ~PKR 4 million.
· Honri VC30 – 300 km per charge, similar charging time, priced ~PKR 5 million.
· All EVs come with assured local spare parts and support networks
