As per reports, CM will formally open the city s first electric bus fleet of 15, a big milestone towards sustainable and contemporary public transportation in Punjab.
As per the district administration, arrangements for the ceremony are in place, and a reception of more than 2,000 people is to be hosted at the ground of the DC Complex.
Deputy Commissioner Asif Raza announced Pakpattan electric bus routes which are Pakpattan to Bunga Hayat, Pakpattan to Arifwala City, Pakpattan to Noor Pur through Malkan Hans.
After the inauguration, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will take a ceremonial ride on one of the electric buses.
In a follow-up development, the Sahiwal Division has also established a target of more than 836,000 acres of wheat for the 2025–26 crop season. Commissioner Asif Tufail presided over a review meeting in which Agriculture Director Shahbaz Ahmed unveiled district-wise targets — 297,000 acres for Sahiwal, 320,000 for Okara, and 219,000 for Pakpattan.

The previous year s goal of 824,000 acres was also attained successfully with the overall harvest of 1.355 million tons, which surpassed expectations. Officials were confident that the current year s target would also be attained through better planning and favorable weather.
