The app is developed by Mango Tech Solutions and offers a variety of features, including alerting users about delays by providing estimated and actual time comparisons; the whole network supports real-time location tracking; it will give updates on delays and arrival and departure times according to the station; and it has a list of route details of all upcoming stops.

It was released on June 18, 2025. Track My Train can be downloaded on Android and iOS via Google Play and the Apple App Store. The platform is available in both English and Urdu; however, it does not support other regional languages. Moreover, it already has more than 100,000 users.

The app uses publicly accessible GPS data and timetables even though it has not been officially endorsed by Pakistan. Users are reassured by Mango Tech that data is encrypted in transit but it does gather device identifiers which it may then give to third parties.
