
The official signing ceremony took place on September 19 at UAF’s campus in Faisalabad. The event was attended by Mr. Hiroshi Kawamura, Managing Director of Pak Suzuki, and Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan (SI), Vice Chancellor of UAF, along with respective teams from both organizations.
Under the agreement, the two institutions will jointly work on developing biogas plants that meet international purification standards (95–99% biogas quality), design and produce organic fertilizer products, and establish corresponding sales channels. Resource and information sharing, student training, and academic collaboration through workshops, seminars, and community outreach are included in the partnership. The commercial viability of biogas and organic fertilizer technologies will be assessed through these efforts, but also to drive socio-economic development across Pakistan.

By concentrating on reducing carbon footprints, they both are actively promoting international environmental goals. The larger sustainability objective of Suzuki Motor Corporation is in line with this strategy. Both Pak Suzuki and the University of Agriculture Faisalabad have reaffirmed their commitment to helping Pakistan flourish.
The MoU is also in line with Pakistan s efforts to develop a more environmentally friendly and climate-resilient economy.
This relationship demonstrates the significant influence that industry-academia collaborations have on promoting innovation, sustainability, and the nation s long-term growth.
