Lion attacks kids in Lahore's Shah Di Khui, video went viral
(Web Desk) – A shocking incident occurred near Shah Di Khui area near Lahore’s Johar Town, where a lion attacked and severely injured two children and a woman on Thursday morning.

According to initial reports, the lion attacked a young boy and girl who were playing in a street when it escaped from a private residence. A female relative, identified as Samina, rushed to rescue the children but was also mauled by the lion. All three victims—Azhan (the boy), Zoya (the girl), and Samina—sustained serious injuries and were immediately shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.

Eyewitnesses say local residents intervened and managed to rescue the victims from the animal’s grip before calling the authorities. Residents have raised concerns over the presence of wild animals like tigers being illegally kept in residential neighborhoods.

The residents also criticized the silence and inaction of concerned wildlife authorities, demanding immediate action against individuals involved in keeping dangerous animals in residential areas.

Following the incident, Johar Town Police registered an FIR on the complaint of Muhammad Qaiser Bajwa. The case includes sections related to attempted murder and other serious offenses.

According to police reports, a suspect identified as Malik Behram, son of Malik Nazim, has been arrested in connection with the case. The lion involved in the attack has also been seized by the police and will be handed over to the Wildlife Department for further action.

This incident has sparked outrage and renewed calls for stricter regulation and enforcement regarding the illegal ownership of wild animals in residential areas.
