Lahore Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for the final day of Chehlum and the Urs celebrations in the city.
Officials say that 1,220 officers, including more than 1,000 wardens and assistants, 120 inspectors, and 16 DSPs, have been tasked with overseeing traffic in the city.
A committed Traffic Response Unit comprising 182 wardens, 14 forklifts, and 4 breakdown vehicles has been established to control improper parking.

Six parking stands including, Greater Iqbal Park, Islamia High School on Mohni Road, Eye Hospital Darbar, Central Model School near Delhi Gate, Adda Caravan, and other nearby designated locations, have been set aside to help visitors and mourners park their cars and bikes.
A number of roads, including Kachehri Chowk, Bhati Chowk, and Texali Chowk leading to Data Darbar, have been totally blocked off to all traffic for security reasons.
Traffic moving from Shahdara to Lower Mall is being rerouted to either Niazi Shaheed Chowk to Bund Road and Saggian or Azadi Chowk to the Railway Station.
Likewise, vehicles on Inner Circular Road will travel via Mori Gate and Urdu Bazaar, while traffic from Chouburji to MAO College will be rerouted via alternate routes.
There are currently restrictions on using Lower Mall at Texali, Azadi, and Mori Gates, as well as District Kachehri Chowk, GCU Gol Chakkar, Rattigan, Bilal Ganj, and Berry Wala Chowks.
Lahore Traffic Police is managing crowds and safety with 1,200+ officers and alternative routes for the religious events.
