Lahore Police unveils action plan for Independence Day celebrations
(Web Desk): In anticipation of Pakistan's 78th Independence Day on August 14, 2025, Lahore's Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana has announced a comprehensive action plan.

This action plan has been announced to ensure public safety and uphold law and order during the festivities.

Key Measures Include:

·        This action plan will adhere to a zero-tolerance policy. It will include strict enforcement against one-wheeling, aerial firing, public misbehavior, and harassment, with immediate legal action for violators.

·        To ensure the safety of civilians, enhanced security will be deployed with over 8,000 police personnel, including Dolphin Squad and Traffic Police. The Dolphin Squad and the Traffic Police will be stationed at key locations to monitor and manage large crowds.

·        In order to manage traffic efficiently, roads will be temporarily closed, and diversions will be implemented to facilitate smooth movement and prevent congestion.

·        Citizens are being urged by authorities to celebrate responsibly, avoid illegal activities, and report any suspicious behavior to authorities.

The importance of maintaining peace and discipline was emphasized by CCPO Kamyana. He stated, "Our collective efforts will ensure a safe and joyous Independence Day for all."
