KOHISTAN (Web Desk): Applications for plea bargains have been submitted to NAB by the named accused in the Kohistan government account embezzlement case of over Rs36 billion.

Seven accused involved in the Kohistan corruption scandal have submitted applications to NAB for plea bargain. According to NAB sources, the accused want a plea bargain with NAB.

The amount of money owed to the accused is being determined. During the investigation of the case, the movable and immovable assets of the accused are also being investigated.

After the amount of money is determined on the accused, the applications will be sent to the Chairman NAB. After the approval of the Chairman NAB, an application will be filed in the Accountability Court for confirmation.

It should be remembered that NAB recovered over Rs1 billion in cash, foreign currency, and 3 kilograms of gold. 73 bank accounts were also frozen, leading to the recovery of around Rs5 billion.

A total of 77 luxury vehicles were also seized, including the latest models of Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Porsche, Lexus, Revo, Mark X, Land Cruiser, and Fortuner, with an estimated value exceeding Rs940 million.

Moreover, NAB also confiscated 109 properties, which include 30 residential houses, 25 apartments, 12 commercial plazas, 12 shops and 4 farmhouses, valued at over Rs17 billion.
