Karachi remained stuck in its hot and humid weather cycle on Monday, with overcast skies and temperatures peaking at 33°C. While the cloud cover kept the sun hidden, it brought no real relief from the sticky, uncomfortable conditions that have gripped the city for days.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), light rain is expected later tonight, most likely between 9 PM and 11 PM, as monsoon moisture builds up over coastal Sindh. Humidity levels remained high throughout the day, making the air feel warmer than it actually was.
Hourly forecasts show intermittent clouds throughout the afternoon and evening, with the chance of brief showers by night. Temperatures are expected to drop slightly after sunset but will remain in the 30–31°C range overnight.

Looking ahead, the PMD predicts partly cloudy to mostly cloudy conditions for the rest of the week, with light to moderate rain chances returning on Wednesday and Friday.
According to Pakistan Methodological department, no widespread monsoon activity is expected in Karachi just yet.
Despite the occasional sea breeze, the overall weather pattern continues to create discomfort, especially during peak afternoon hours. Authorities advise residents to stay hydrated, avoid direct sunlight during midday, and monitor PMD updates for any changes in rain forecasts.
