While descending from the summit of Lion s Head, a popular mountain peak in Cape Town, Jemima Goldsmith fell. The fall caused an injury to her ankle and foot, prompting her immediate transport to a nearby hospital.
, Jemima shared her experience with followers through an Instagram post, explaining that she had been relishing the stunning views from the summit before the accident took place.
"Festive break (pun intended) in Cape Town," she said. "Embracing the highs and the lows of 2025 – incredible views from the summit of Lion’s Head with friends & fam, and then a tumble & an interminable hobble down in the dark. Happy New Year folks."
Jemima posted a series of photographs showing the aftermath of the incident. One of them showed her in a hospital bed, wearing a protective walking boot on her right foot. Another photo showed her using crutches.
Jemima assured her followers that she is recovering, despite the fall being painful. "I’m getting better, thank you all for your well wishes," she wrote in a post on social media.
