Deputy DEOs Shahid Ali and Waseem Butt will lead the committee. Various factors will be assessed by them, including teacher and student attendance, academic outcomes, and the overall quality of instruction. Closure will be faced by schools that cannot meet the required standards.

It has been clarified by authorities that teachers and students from any closed schools will be transferred to nearby functioning government schools to ensure their education continues without interruption.
Officials say the move aims to enhance the overall effectiveness of the education system and ensure efficiency in budget utilization.
The initiative is intended to improve educational standards. Despite that, it has drawn mixed reactions from parents and teachers. Some believe it is a necessary step towards long-overdue reforms, while concerns about potential disruption have been expressed by others.
The final goal, as per educational authorities, is to strengthen public education in Lahore and optimize the use of limited resources for better outcomes.
