(Web Desk): The Ministry of Religious Affairs has officially announced a list of 26 authorized Umrah travel agencies across major cities, urging pilgrims to use only these verified operators.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs recently published an updated list of 26 officially approved Umrah companies, now available on its website. These authorized operators located in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Sahiwal, and Karachi have had their Umrah contracts verified and attested by the ministry’s credentials team.

In its advisory, the ministry cautioned intending pilgrims to avoid booking through unverified agencies, which have been linked to a range of problems including no-shows, substandard accommodations, and financial mishaps.

By booking only through vetted operators, pilgrims can gain peace of mind knowing they are protected under recognized agreements.

This move is especially important given past concerns over fraudulent or unlicensed tour providers exploiting families eager for pilgrimage services. The Ministry stressed that using the official list not only safeguards pilgrims’ funds but also ensures legitimacy and support during their sacred travels.
