(Web Desk): Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir is on an official visit to the U.S., holding key meetings with top American officials and connecting with the Pakistani community.

Field Marshal Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Army Chief, has returned to the United States for a second time in just a few weeks.During his recent meeting he took part in the change-of-command ceremony at US Central Command (CENTCOM), saying goodbye to outgoing General Michael Kurilla and welcoming Admiral Brad Cooper highlighting his hopes for continued cooperation on shared security challenges.

He also met with US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, General Dan Caine, and extended an invitation for him to visit Pakistan. On the sidelines, he greeted defense leaders from friendly countries.

A memorable moment came when he met with the Pakistani diaspora thanking them for their role as ambassadors of Pakistan and calling on them to invest in the country’s future. The diaspora responded with warmth, pledging continued support for Pakistan’s progress.

It is pertinent to note that Field Marshal Asim Munir’s last visit to the United States took place in June 2025. During that five-day official trip, he became the first serving Pakistani Army Chief to meet face-to-face with a sitting US President, Donald Trump, over a luncheon.

The visit focused on enhancing bilateral military cooperation, and Munir emphasized the need for a broader, respectful, and multidimensional relationship between Pakistan and US, he also met top US defense officials and discussed regional security, counter-terrorism efforts, and avenues for future collaboration.

This repeat visit signals Pakistan’s determined effort to deepen military and diplomatic ties with US by showing up at high-level ceremonies and engaging directly with senior defense and political figures, Munir is reinforcing Pakistan’s role as a strategic partner.

At the same time, connecting with the diaspora brings a personal touch such outreach reinforces unity and taps into both trust and potential economic support from overseas Pakistanis.
