Famous Pakistani chef Zakir Hussain passes away at 58

KARACHI (Web Desk): Pakistan’s acclaimed and internationally renowned chef, Zakir Hussain, has passed away at the age of 58.
According to his nephew, Shayan Qureshi, Zakir Qureshi died at 8 PM on Monday. He had been suffering from kidney disease and undergoing dialysis for a long time.
Zakir Qureshi was receiving treatment in the United States, where doctors had declared his condition untreatable. He returned to Pakistan about a month ago.
His funeral prayers will be held today after Asr at Jamia Rashidia, Malir Saudabad, and he will be laid to rest at the Saudabad graveyard.
Zakir Qureshi gained widespread popularity for his exceptional cooking skills and charismatic presence on television. He was a master not only of Pakistani cuisine but also of international dishes.
