CM Punjab approves allotment of flats for industrial workers

(Web Desk): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has taken a major step to provide residential facilities for industrial workers under the labor-friendly policy.

The Punjab Workers Welfare Fund has formally started the allotment of flats in the Workers Welfare Complex, Sundar Industrial Estate, Kasur Phase One.

Under this project, a total of 720 flats will be provided to industrial workers in Lahore and Kasur districts.

Under this project, a 3% quota has been allocated for the widows of deceased industrial workers and a 2% quota for disabled workers.

According to officials, two-thirds of the housing unit quota has been set for industrial workers in Kasur district, while one-third has been set for workers in Lahore district.

Candidates can obtain the application form from the Punjab Workers Welfare Fund website from home, while these forms are also available from the offices of the Director of Labor Welfare North and South and the Deputy Director of Labor Welfare Kasur.

The deadline for submitting applications has been fixed for September 8. This initiative is being hailed as a positive step for the working class, as it not only aims to address their housing challenges but also reflects the vision of a labor-friendly government.

Experts believe that the policy will serve as a significant move towards improving the socio-economic well-being of workers in Punjab, ensuring better living conditions and long-term support for the labor community.
