
The initiative has a significant investment of Rs60 crore. Through this initiative, young veterinarians gain vital hands-on experience and career growth opportunities.
The program will provide a monthly stipend of Rs60,000 for veterinary graduates, while Para-Veterinarians (Para-Vets) will receive Rs40,000. It covers 10 districts across Punjab and provides financial support that encourages participation and empowers future professionals in animal health and welfare.

Eligibility criteria include a maximum age limit of 25 years for veterinarians and 20 years for Para-Vets, a degree from a recognized veterinary institution, and domicile in Punjab is also needed. Para-Vets must have at least two years of experience in a recognized institution. Additionally, all applicants need to hold a valid blood card.
The deadline for applications is set for August 31, 2025, and they are open online at www.jobs.punjab.gov.pk. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) and other related institutions support the internship as it provides practical training and professional development.
Veterinary professionals get critical experience to emerge as skilled practitioners. Punjab’s livestock sector is also strengthened through this by ensuring skilled manpower is readily available to support the province’s agricultural backbone.
