(Web Desk): Punjab schools may face closures tomorrow as nationwide protests continue to intensify, raising serious security concerns.

Over the past few days, several districts, including Muridke, Jhelum, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Lahore, have already witnessed temporary shutdowns of educational institutions due to the volatile situation.

While schools in some parts of Punjab have reopened under partial security measures, classes in Jhelum remain suspended as of today. Law enforcement agencies continue to monitor the situation closely, with authorities emphasizing the need to ensure the safety of students and staff.

Given the deteriorating law and order situation, education departments are reportedly reviewing the situation for possible province-wide closures. However, no official notification has been issued yet by the Punjab government regarding a shutdown of schools for tomorrow. Parents and students have been advised to stay alert and follow official updates for the latest announcements.

In a separate update amid these protests Lahore–Islamabad Motorway (M-2) has been closed for all traffic, with the Baboo Sabu Interchange also sealed off. Entry routes from Thokar Niaz Baig towards the motorway remain blocked, while heavy traffic congestion has been reported on Multan Road, Yateem Khana Chowk, and Chungi Amar Sidhu.
