5 lakh homes in 5 years: Maryam Nawaz unveils ambitious housing plan

KALA SHAH KAKU: (Suno News) Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced that 500,000 families will be provided homes within five years.

Under this project, interest-free loans of up to Rs. 1.5 million will be granted.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Maskan Ravi Housing Scheme, said that the scheme is an initiative of the Punjab government. She congratulated the recipients of homes under the project and stated that the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) president Nawaz Sharif’s politics is rooted in public service. Today, 100 deserving individuals have been allotted homes she added.

Maryam Nawaz remarked that every project bears the hallmark of Nawaz Sharif and the PML-N. She emphasized that the vision and dreams of Nawaz Sharif are being realized through such initiatives. In just 2.5 months, 100 homes have been completed. The housing scheme is aimed at providing homes to low-income families. She noted that Nawaz Sharif has dedicated 45 years to the country’s development.

The CM credited her father, Nawaz Sharif, for his longstanding service to Pakistan, citing his contributions to developing nuclear program, motorways, electricity, and economic growth motorways “I am a foot soldier of Nawaz Sharif and am committed to executing projects in line with his vision,” she said.

Maryam Nawaz also stated that every house has been designed to provide a comfortable and secure living space. Each home consists of 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a courtyard. This scheme is a ray of hope for those awaiting their own homes. She highlighted the government’s commitment to implementing public welfare projects. Basic facilities have been provided in Zehra Homes, and significant measures are being taken under the ‘ Apni Chat Apna Ghar’ scheme, with a target of delivering 100,000 homes within a year.
