The incident is reported from the Chaliyar locality of Khwaza Khela tehsil. Farhan, who came from a poor family outside Swat, was staying at the madrasa where the murderous attack occurred. His body was shifted to Khwaza Khela Hospital for a postmortem examination.

The police have arrested two madrasa teachers in connection with the incident, and a formal investigation is in progress.

Video of this incident went viral on social media drawing public condemnation and demands for justice.

In the video, Farhan is seen with multiple injuries and visible signs of severe abuse on his back. The wounds clearly indicate that he was subjected to intense physical torture, which may have ultimately led to his death.

Local people and community leaders have widely criticized this act of brutality and demanded that the authorities take stringent legal action against the culprits.

It should be added that this is not an isolated incident of violence in religious seminaries in Pakistan. Previously, many similar incidents have been reported raising serious concerns about student security in madrasas.
