Pakistan’s security forces thwarted a major terrorist bid on Monday as the terrorists belonged to banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) try to replicate the 2014 Army Public School (APS) tragedy.
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) released the official statement, saying "on 10 November 2025, in a heinous and cowardly terrorist act, Khwarij belonging to Indian proxy Fitna al Khwarij attacked Cadet College Wana in South Waziristan District."
According to ISPR, the attackers rammed an explosives-laden vehicle against the main gate of the college, causing it to collapse and damaging an adjacent structure. The terrorists then entered the educational facility and were “cornered in the college’s administrative block”.
ISPR said that the attackers attempted to breach the Cadet College’s security perimeters. However, their nefarious designs were swiftly foiled by the vigilant and resolute response by own troops.
It added that a clearance operation was underway, with initial reports indicating that four to five terrorists have been killed.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised Pakistan’s security forces for their successful intelligence-based operations against terrorist elements of Fitna-ul-Khawarij in Shawal, North Waziristan, and Darra Adam Khel.
President Zardari commended the security forces for their courage and professionalism, describing the success of these operations as a reflection of the nation’s steadfast resolve and unity. He said that Fitna-ul-Khawarij and their India-backed facilitators are enemies of Pakistan’s peace and stability.
The president reaffirmed the national resolve to root out terrorism and stated that the elimination of foreign-backed militants is being carried out through complete national consensus. He also paid tribute to the martyrs and lauded the unwavering determination of the armed forces, emphasizing that operations under Azm-e-Istehkam would continue until the scourge of terrorism was completely eradicated.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the terrorist attack by Fitna al-Khwarij terrorists on Cadet College Wana in South Waziristan District.
In a statement, the Prime Minister said that the coward enemy, once again, attempted to target an educational institution, which was thwarted.
He said that the unwavering resolve of the security forces will thwart the nefarious designs of terrorists.
The Prime Minister apaid tribute to the security forces, for killing two terrorists of Fitna al-Khawarij during the attack.
Shehbaz Sharif vowed to completely eradicate all forms of terrorism from the country.
