LAHORE (Web Desk): Punjab government has launched an Anti-Drone Unit and Cybercrime Cell under the Provincial Intelligence Fusion and Threat Assessment Centre (PIFTAC), aiming to strengthen security and improve law and order.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited PIFTAC and received a detailed briefing on its operations and the overall security situation.

During the meeting, authorities approved the formation of the Anti-Drone Unit and Cybercrime Cell to tackle aerial threats and digital crimes.

The government also ordered province-wide combing operations and the installation of advanced digital scanners at all entry and exit points.

A strengthened whistleblower system will help identify and curb terrorism and criminal activities.

A special monitoring dashboard for deputy commissioners in all districts will track developments in real time, ensuring the Anti-Drone Unit and Cybercrime Cell can respond quickly to threats.

Additionally, an AI hub will be created within PIFTAC to enhance cybersecurity and intelligence capabilities.
