The Prime Minister said Pakistan would adopt a “zero tolerance” policy against what he called the alliance between the Afghan Taliban regime and the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) group. He described their actions against Pakistan as unacceptable.
Pakistani forces carried out airstrikes on key military locations in Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia early Friday. The military spokesperson said the ongoing ‘Operation Ghazab Lil Haq’ was achieving its goals and moving forward successfully.

According to the military, Afghan Taliban fighters were pushed back at 53 different border points. Officials said heavy losses were inflicted on insurgents while efforts were made to avoid civilian harm.
Earlier, Pakistan also conducted intelligence-based strikes on seven militant camps along the Afghan border. Security sources said several terrorists were killed, including Taliban commander Akhtar Muhammad. Jet aircraft targeted hideouts in Bermal district of Paktika, causing loud explosions and serious damage to militant facilities.
This escalation follows a deadly suicide bombing at Imambargah Khadijah al-Kubra in Islamabad during Friday prayers. The attack killed 36 people and injured around 169 others. It was described as the deadliest attack in the capital in more than a decade.

After the blast, raids in Nowshera and Peshawar led to the arrest of four facilitators. Authorities also captured the alleged mastermind, an Afghan national linked to Daesh (ISIS). Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said the network behind the attack had received training in Afghanistan.
