Pakistan has carried out fresh aerial strikes targeting positions linked to the Afghan Taliban in Jalalabad as part of ongoing military action, according to security sources.
Security officials said the operation — described as Operation Ghazab ul Haq — is continuing with retaliatory airstrikes against militant infrastructure. During the latest action in Jalalabad, forces reportedly destroyed an ammunition depot and a drone storage facility used by armed elements.
Sources claimed the strikes caused heavy losses to the targeted groups, including elements associated with the Taliban and affiliated factions. Authorities stated that Pakistan’s security forces remain committed to responding strongly to cross-border aggression and protecting national security interests.
The developments come amid heightened tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan over security incidents along the border region. Officials argue that militant sanctuaries and weapons storage sites in Afghan territory pose direct threats to stability inside Pakistan.

Military analysts say such air operations signal an escalation in counter-militancy efforts and reflect growing pressure on armed groups operating across the border. The situation remains sensitive as diplomatic channels and security mechanisms continue alongside battlefield responses.
Authorities have not yet disclosed casualty figures, and independent verification of damage remains limited.
