LAHORE (Web Desk): Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir held talks with Bangladesh’s Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, who called on him at the General Headquarters (GHQ).

According to ISPR, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, evolving regional security dynamics, and new ways to enhance bilateral defence and military cooperation.

The meeting focused on strengthening professional collaboration, expanding training exchanges, and building closer links between the armed forces of Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir presented a Minar-e-Pakistan memento to the Bangladesh air chief, reflecting goodwill and long-standing ties between the two countries.

The Bangladesh air chief praised the professionalism of Pakistan’s armed forces and appreciated their role in promoting regional peace and stability.

ISPR said the meeting ended on a positive note, highlighting the enduring and strong bonds between the two “brotherly” nations.

Separately, the Bangladesh air chief also met Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf in Islamabad. Both leaders discussed regional maritime security and future defence cooperation.

The naval chief highlighted Pakistan Navy’s commitment to maritime peace through regional initiatives. The Bangladesh air chief acknowledged the navy’s high standards and showed interest in deeper collaboration.

Both sides agreed to increase high-level exchanges and joint training exercises to improve coordination and mutual understanding.
