According to aviation authorities, flight operations between Pakistan and Middle Eastern countries remain unstable as security risks persist. From Pakistani airports, a total of 145 flights were canceled today, adding to the growing number of suspended routes.

Flight Cancellations from Major Pakistani Airports

Aviation sources confirmed that flight suspensions affected major airports across Pakistan:

  • Karachi Airport: 35 flights to Middle Eastern destinations canceled
  • Lahore Airport: 29 flights suspended
  • Multan Airport: 12 flights canceled
  • Islamabad Airport: 35 flights affected
  • Peshawar Airport: 14 flights suspended
  • Sialkot Airport: 12 flights canceled
  • Faisalabad Airport: 6 flights canceled
  • Quetta Airport: 2 flights suspended

Overall, Pakistan’s canceled flights to the Middle East have reached 900, reflecting the ongoing aviation disruption linked to the regional conflict.

Regional Aviation Crisis Across Gulf and Middle East

The Middle East airspace conflict has caused massive global aviation disturbances. Over 20,000 flights from eight countries were reportedly canceled within five days.

Major Gulf airport operations were also affected. Emergency evacuation-related special flights were operated:

  • Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah: 167 special evacuation flights operated
  • Riyadh and Dammam: Operations disrupted
  • Kuwait and Doha: No flights operated for five consecutive days

Additional aviation data shows cancellations of:

  • Iran: 240 flights
  • Iraq: 215 flights
  • Beirut: 58 flights
  • Haifa: 25 flights
  • Tel Aviv: 380 flights

Pakistan National Airline Operations Update

The national flag carrier has been granted permission to operate two daily flights to the UAE.

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is currently operating:

  • One daily flight to Dubai
  • One daily flight to Abu Dhabi

Flights to Riyadh and Madinah continue normally, aviation sources confirmed.

However, flights to Dammam remain suspended following missile activity in Bahrain airspace. Authorities hope operations will resume once the security situation stabilizes.

International flight routes from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia are currently being diverted through Yemen airspace via the Arabian Sea, while Europe and Canada routes are operating via Wakhan Corridor (Afghanistan) and Tajikistan airspace.
