The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has carried out 366 intelligence-based operations across different cities in Punjab, leading to the arrest of 36 suspected terrorists. The operations were conducted over the past month as part of ongoing security efforts.
According to a CTD spokesperson, the raids were conducted in multiple cities, including Lahore, Kasur, Jhelum, Chakwal, Okara, Khanewal, Rawalpindi, Chiniot, Toba Tek Singh, Rajanpur, Sialkot, Jhang, Attock, Sahiwal, Faisalabad, and Jhelum.
Among those arrested, two high-risk suspects linked to “Fitna al-Khawarij” were captured from Faisalabad and Jhelum. Officials said these individuals were involved in activities that posed serious security threats.

During the operations, authorities recovered a large quantity of explosive materials. The seized items included EID bombs, five detonators, 34 safety fuses, 61 feet of wiring, pamphlets, and cash.
CTD officials said the intelligence-based operations were aimed at preventing potential threats and maintaining law and order across the province. They added that surveillance and counter-terror efforts are being further strengthened.
Security agencies believe such operations are crucial to stopping illegal networks before they can carry out any harmful activities. Continuous monitoring and targeted raids are expected to continue in the coming days.
