(Web Desk): KP clashes have left 21 militants dead in separate operations, according to ISPR, as security forces continue efforts to stop infiltration and eliminate terrorism across the province.

Twenty-one militants were killed during separate clashes with security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa between September 2 and 5, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The latest operations were carried out in North Waziristan, Kohat and Dera Ismail Khan. Security officials said the actions were part of ongoing efforts to prevent militant infiltration and maintain security in the region.

According to ISPR, 10 militants were killed during an operation near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in North Waziristan between the night of August 31 and September 1.

Seven more militants were killed during another operation in North Waziristan. Four others died during separate clashes in Kohat and Dera Ismail Khan.

25 militants killed in infiltration attempts

ISPR said the total number of militants killed while attempting to enter Pakistan has now reached 25.

Security forces are continuing clearance operations in the affected areas to search for and eliminate any remaining militants. The military said its personnel remain committed to ending terrorism completely.

ISPR also said Pakistan continues to face cross-border terrorism from Afghanistan. It called on the Afghan Taliban government to ensure effective border management and prevent militant groups from using Afghan territory.

The statement alleged that the Afghan government has failed to stop militant organisations from operating from its soil against Pakistan.

President, prime minister praise security forces

President Asif Ali Zardari praised the security forces for killing militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He also appreciated their professional capabilities and expressed satisfaction over what he described as timely action.

Zardari said the country would make every effort to defeat the objectives of terrorists operating with external support. He stressed that protecting Pakistan’s borders and eliminating terrorism remain national priorities.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also praised the security forces for their operations against militants in KP. He said the nation was proud of the armed forces for protecting peace and stability.

The prime minister said the entire nation stands with security forces in the fight against terrorism. He added that operations would continue under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision until terrorism is eliminated.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also said security forces were determined to eliminate terrorists allegedly backed by India.
