Kohat Police Lines blast report reveals 869kg of explosives used
Details of the blast emerge
The Kohat blast took place at Kohat Police Lines on September 18.
The Kohat Police Lines blast was examined by the Bomb Disposal Unit, which prepared a detailed report and sent it to the Central Police Office.

Large crater found at site
The report said the blast created a large crater at the scene.
The visible crater measured 6.6 feet by 11 feet, while its depth was around 4.6 feet.
According to the Kohat blast report, a total of 869kg of explosive material was used in the blast.

Investigators have also made an initial identification of the vehicle allegedly used in the attack.
Unexploded devices recovered
The Bomb Disposal Unit also recovered unexploded material from inside the Special Branch building.
Two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were found on the ground floor.
A suicide jacket was also recovered from the first floor.
The jacket contained four IEDs, according to the Kohat Police Lines blast findings.
The recovery of the devices provided investigators with additional material for examination after the main explosion.

Area declared secure
The Bomb Disposal Unit said the area was declared safe and controlled after the clearance operation was completed.
Security teams searched the area for remaining explosives and possible threats following the Kohat blast.

Attackers entered old Police Lines
According to the report, the attackers entered the old Police Lines area after the Kohat Police Lines blast.
