He made these remarks while addressing officers during his visit to Lahore Garrison. The statement said he reaffirmed the armed forces’ resolve to meet evolving challenges with professionalism and determination.
“He said the armed forces remained committed to safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and internal stability, while promoting discipline, excellence and selfless national service,” ISPR said.

During the visit, Field Marshal Munir was received by the Lahore corps commander. He was given a detailed briefing on operational preparedness, training standards, and initiatives aimed at improving combat efficiency.
The statement added that he observed a “specialised field training exercise showcasing the latest technologies, underscoring the army’s emphasis on innovation, adaptability to match the dynamic future battlefield”.
He also inspected sports and recreational facilities for troops, highlighting their role in maintaining physical fitness, morale, and overall well-being.
Field Marshal Munir later visited a care centre at Combined Military Hospital Lahore. He praised the medical staff for setting up a modern and fully equipped healthcare facility.
His remarks came after the military spokesperson said Afghanistan had become a hub of terrorists and non-state actors, calling the ruling Taliban “the mother organisation” for sheltering such groups since 2021.

In a lengthy press conference, the spokesperson also discussed strained ties with Afghanistan, rising hostility from India, and criticised political leadership in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Imran Khan without naming him directly.
Last month, the army leadership also warned political forces against harming national unity through agitation or strong rhetoric and vowed firm action against what it described as India-sponsored terrorist proxies.
