A tragic incident occurred in the border region of Bajaur when a mortar shell fired from across the Afghan border landed in a residential area. The attack targeted the village of Leti in Tehsil Salarzai, close to the Pak-Afghan border.
According to local sources, the mortar shell directly struck a house where several family members were present. The powerful explosion killed four people on the spot.
Authorities confirmed that all four victims were brothers. They were identified as Sajid, Ayaz, Riaz, and Muaz.
Sources said the shelling came from the Afghan side of the border. The incident also left one person seriously injured. The injured individual was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors are providing medical treatment.

Security sources claimed that after facing setbacks from Pakistani forces, Afghan Taliban fighters have started targeting civilian areas across the border.
They said several mortar shells fired from Afghanistan landed in the Salarzai region and nearby areas of Bajaur.
The incident has caused anger and concern among the local population living near the border. Residents say innocent civilians should not be targeted in such attacks.
Security officials stated that Pakistan’s armed forces are responding strongly to what they described as cowardly attacks from across the border.
