According to the military’s media wing, security forces launched a series of high tempo, intelligence driven operations over the past few days. The operations targeted what the state describes as Fitna Al Khwarij and Fitna Al Hindustan.
Fitna Al Khwarij is the term used for militants linked to the banned Tehreek i Taliban Pakistan (TTP), while Fitna Al Hindustan refers to terrorist networks operating in Balochistan.
The statement said that on Feb 24, a total of 26 terrorists belonging to Fitna Al Khwarij were killed in four separate engagements in KP. Meanwhile, eight terrorists linked to Fitna Al Hindustan were killed during an operation in Sambaza area of Zhob district in Balochistan.

In North Waziristan, security forces detected the movement of a group of militants attempting to infiltrate through the Pakistan Afghanistan border. Troops engaged them and killed one terrorist. ISPR stated that the killed militant was identified as an Afghan national.
In Lakki Marwat district, an intelligence based operation was carried out. After an intense exchange of fire, three militants were killed.
Security forces also killed 10 terrorists in Narmi Khel area of Bannu district and 12 more in Mir Ali, North Waziristan.
In Balochistan’s Sambaza area, troops conducted another intelligence based operation. After heavy firing, eight terrorists were neutralized.
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed militants, who were reportedly involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region.

ISPR said that sanitization operations are continuing to eliminate any remaining threats. The military reaffirmed its commitment to defend the country’s borders and maintain peace.
Earlier this week, security forces had also killed nine terrorists, including a suicide bomber, during separate operations in KP and Balochistan.
