11 military officials martyred, 19 terrorists killed in Orakzai Operation

(Web Desk): Pakistani security forces successfully eliminated 19 Indian-backed militants during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Orakzai district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed on Tuesday.

According to ISPR statement, 11 military officials martyred during Orakzai operation. According to ISPR, Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Arif and Second-in-Command Major, were martyred during an exchange of fire. Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Arif was leading his team from the front.

According to the military’s media wing, the operation was conducted overnight between October 7 and 8, based on credible intelligence reports about the presence of heavily armed terrorist groups in the region. The exchange of fire continued for several hours, during which nine brave soldiers embraced martyrdom while fighting courageously against the militants.

The ISPR stated that the slain terrorists were involved in multiple attacks on both security forces and civilians and were being financed and directed by hostile Indian intelligence networks to destabilize Pakistan’s internal security.

A large cache of weapons, ammunition, and communication equipment was recovered from the site, indicating foreign support and coordination. Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a sanitization operation to eliminate any remaining threat.

The Pakistan Army reaffirmed its resolve to wipe out terrorism from every corner of the country, vowing that such sacrifices by the nation’s heroes will not go in vain.
